Morro Coating is a unique coating for paper and board packaging made from natural plant proteins. Part of the Morro materials range, Morro Coating is designed to eliminate hidden plastic linings in packaging.
Our materials have no chemical modification, keeping it a natural solution that is biodegradable, compostable, and recycling-friendly. Just like the plants they’re made from, our materials are designed to leave nothing harmful behind.
Without a lining, paper packaging wouldn’t last very long. Coatings protect the paper from grease and water, and importantly, protect you from wearing your dinner by keeping the packaging sturdy.
Typically, these coatings are made from plastic or forever chemicals, but we don’t think materials that last for generations should be used for packaging that can last just moments. With Morro Coating, our natural and plastic-free coating protects packaging as well as the planet.
We believe making the right choice for the planet should be easy, which is why our Morro Coating is designed to be biodegradable, home compostable, and recycling-friendly.
You can wipe your box clean and recycle it, giving the paper a new lease of life. If recycling isn’t possible, simply use the correct waste stream available to you.
