Xampla is seeking a Business Development and Sales Lead (Licensees, Mills and Coaters) to drive commercial growth and take full ownership of how we scale our coatings business globally.
This is about more than sales delivery: it’s about shaping our commercial strategy, building deep partnerships across the paper coatings value chain, and positioning Xampla as a trusted partner for sustainable materials innovation.
Building on strong foundations, this is an opportunity for someone to lead revenue growth, expand market presence, and define how we work with licensees, mills and coaters as we move into our next phase of commercial scale.
From owning customer and partner development plans to leading contract negotiations and representing the business at industry events, you’ll have the scope to make a tangible, lasting impact on the company’s growth trajectory.
You’ll be responsible for combining strategic commercial vision with a hands-on approach, embedding strong pipeline management, performance tracking, and customer insight into the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Lead the commercial strategy for coatings across licensees, paper mills and paper coaters, driving revenue growth and market expansion
- – Own and deliver customer and partner development plans, identifying and converting new commercial opportunities
- – Build and maintain strategic relationships across licensees, mills, coaters, and wider industry stakeholders
- – Own forecasting, budgeting, and commercial performance tracking against agreed targets
- – Define and monitor BD & Sales KPIs, embedding strong pipeline and performance management
- – Collaborate cross-functionally across R&D, operations and innovation teams, contributing to NPD and strategic projects
Experience & Skills:
- – Strong experience in business development and sales, ideally within paper coatings, or adjacent sectors such as materials, manufacturing or packaging
- – Proven ability to drive revenue growth, manage pipelines, and deliver against commercial targets
- – Experience working with paper mills, coaters, or similar value-chain partners
- – Strong commercial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, KPI tracking and performance management
- – Demonstrated success in building strategic relationships and managing senior stakeholders
- – Ability to translate market, customer and competitor insights into actionable strategy
- – Experience supporting or leading contract negotiations, ideally within licensing models
